Abstract (EN)
Kastamonu, which has not been occupied throughout history, became an important gateway during the National Struggle years. When Mustafa Kemal Atatürk went to Samsun on May 19, 1919, the National Struggle began. Meanwhile, the presence of Istanbul under the supervision of the occupation forces made it necessary to search for new routes for ammunition delivery. When the due diligence was made, İnebolu-Kastamonu-Çankırı-Ankara line, which was connected to Ankara and which was connected to the Black Sea, which we later called as İstiklâl Road-Revolution Road-Atatürk Road, was used. Kastamonu which is an important branch of this route; has been with Mustafa Kemal Atatürk since the beginning with all his managers, people and clergy. Men as well as women continued to struggle behind the front. In Kastamonu, which sent all men to the front, the ammunition transportation was left to women. Kastamonu which is an important branch of this route; has been with Mustafa Kemal Atatürk since the beginning with all his managers, people and clergy. Men as well as women continued to struggle behind the front. In Kastamonu, which sent all men to the front, the ammunition transportation was left to women. Kastamonu woman fulfilled this duty with national feelings. Even though they are frozen from the cold; they never came back because it was a homeland. Women existed in ammunition as well as in communities. They formed the women's branch of the Defense of Rights Association, which was founded on the statements of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Later on, women of the society signed an event that was the first in the history of the National Struggle and which was an important place in the history of Turkish women. On December 10, 1919, with the participation of some three thousand women from the peasant city, they held a rally in the garden of the Girls 'Teachers' School and sent telegrams to the wives of foreign leaders. In this study, the activities of women of Kastamonu will be discussed in the period we call National Struggle between 1919-1923.
