SUMMARY An Investigation of the Effects of Technology and Science on Architecture under the Headings of "Architect-Architecture-Architectural Product" Throughout history, the biggest straggle of human beings has been about coping with the difficulties of this cosmos and unveiling its secrets. Science, technology and architecture were created to achieve this, and they have always been in a continuous progress. When we look at this process of progress and change, we can see that having some relationships with different disciplines in intellectual and/or structural sense, imitating them, and taking them as its models are inevitable for architecture; and the most important sources of interaction have been science and technology. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationships between architecture and science-technology by probing into their historical processes separately, and the changes that architecture has or has not experienced. During the transition from the 20th century architecture, which had intense metaphoric relationships and which highlighted the artistic- intellectual architectural identity, into the 21st century architecture, in which technical- scientific perfection is regaining weight, investigating this popular topic is very important for a better understanding and interpretation of the today and future of architecture. The interactions between architecture and science-technology were investigated under the headings of "Architect, Architecture and Architectural Product." The study contains four main sections: The General Information section contains the introduction, aims and scope of the study; Literature Review (A) contains the separate analyses of the development of architecture, science and technology in the developmental process of architecture; Literature Review (B) contains the Method and Findings and Discussion subsections. It also describes and interprets in a systematic way the interactions found between architecture and science-technology. Conclusions and Recommendations section shows the types of interaction between architecture and science-technology, their development and change, and relationships and contradictions between them. It also gives some recommendations for future research.
