Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the stress and deformation zones of the Historical Murat Bridge in Muş were determined by different analysis. The historical Murat Bridge was modeled and analyzed with the finite element method by the help of ANSYS program. The stress and deformation zones of the historical bridge were determined in line with these analysis. The thesis consists of four chapter. Information about historical masonry bridges are given in the first chapter. Previous studies are included, materials used in historical masonry bridges and arch forms are mentioned and information is given about masonry bridges built by different civilizations in different periods in Anatolia. At the end of the first chapter, historical bridges in Muş province are mentioned. In the second chapter, the Murat Bridge is mentioned in detail; The historical development of the bridge has been researched, information about its current architectural structure has been given, the restorations that have been made and the current situation of the bridge have been evaluated. In the third chapter, structural analysis and finite element method are briefly mentioned. Afterwards, the analysis were given in detail and their results were evaluated. The fourth chapter is the conclusion chapter. As a result of the study, the stresses that are created by the analysis on the bridge were evaluated, the stresses created by the loads that are operated were compared and it was emphasized what could cause these stresses.
