Abstract (EN)

Music has the capacity to stimulate auditory, cognitive, motor and sensory functions in brain regions. In several studies, the psychological and cognitive positive effects of rehabilitation methods accompanied by music-based adjunctive treatment or music applications in neurological diseases such as Alzheimer, Stroke, Parkinson, Multiple Sclerosis are emphasized. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of music applications (listening, singing, using rhythm instruments) on motor skills, depression, anxiety and quality of life in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) which is a chronic neurological immune system disease. When the subject and content of this study are examined, it is important to reveal the changes in patients about music applications in MS patients, to have an interdisciplinary study, to benefit from those who are interested in this subject, especially musicians and neurologists, and to be a source of further studies.
