Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT: This thesis focuses on the estimation of the effect of the stock and oil markets on economic growth in the USA, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and Japan. Annual data have been used with this respect. Time series analysis shows that real income in these countries is in long term interaction with oil and stock prices. This reveals that stock prices and oil prices are determinants of real income for these countries under inspection. However, it is found that not only oil prices but also stock prices in these selected countries exert negative effects on real income in both long and short terms. Keywords: Oil Price; Stock Price; Income; Co-integration Analysis. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
