The research on the effect of information given about pupil's medical treatment phobia

SUMMARYTHE RESEARCH ON THE EFFECT OF INFORMATION GIVEN ABOUT PUPILS?MEDICAL TREATMENT PHOBIAZerrin ( Keyik) ATAMANThis work has been done as semi-experimental in order to search for the effect ofinformation given about pupıl?s fear of medical treatment.The students of the ?Foundation of Dokuz Eylül University Private 75. YearSecondary School.? have been taken as samples (n: 115). On this research, the datacollected two times with the same questionaire at the point of before- education and twoweeks later after-education by using ?Fear Scale of Medical Treatment? .At the end of the research, the difference between the average of pupil?s beforeand after information total fear points and the difference among the average of pupil?sprocedural, personal and interactional fear points has been found meaningful (p<0.005).The average of pupil?s environmental fear points has not been found meaninful.In this work, as a result of information given about fear of medical treatment, ithas been discovered that children?s fear is reduced.
