Abstract (EN)
Today, the children communicate and socialize through tecnologic ways.Preventing tecnology addiction is due to the parents or primary caregivers taking precautions. The primary people who can control this addiction are thought to be the parents or primary caregivers of the child. The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between the attachment patterns of preschool children and their screen addiction levels. The research was organized acoording to general screening model. It's aimed to reach a general opinion on a spectacular working group selected from the sample. The working group concsists of 49 children aged 5-6 years and their parents who are living in Mersin. Data collection tools consisted of the Problematic Media Use Scale: Screen Addiction Scale Parent Form (PMUS), the Toy Story Completion Test (TSCT) and the Demographic Information Form created by the researcher. According to the results, a significant difference was found between tecnology addiction levels of the children who were divided into 2 groups as secure attachment and insecure attachment. And a negative significant relationship was found between childrens' tecnology addiction levels and attachment styles. As the daily tecnology used time decreased, the attachment score increased. No significant difference was found between the levels of tecnology addiction in terms of demographic variables (age, gender).
