Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the contemporary Turkish composer Onur Türkmen's "Beautiful and Unowned" and " Noktalar" (Point I) which he wrote for solo violin and ensemble with 'line' technique were analyzed in detail. The content of the work has been examined both in terms of maqam analysis and the Riemannian 'lattice system' developed by the German theoretician Hugo Riemann which Türkmen used as a composing tecnique. As a result of these investigations, besides the composer understanding of Onur Türkmen, 'hat' technique used in his work and methods of dealing with the idea of no centre were revealed. Keywords: Onur Türkmen, 'Beautiful and Unowned', 'Noktalar'(Points), 'Hat' technique, harmonic map.
