Abstract (EN)
This research was conducted to determine the healthy lifestyles of secondary and high school students. Research group; It consisted of 604 (246 Male, 358 Female) volunteer students studying at secondary and high school levels in Erciş district of Van in the 2023-2024 academic year. "Personal Information Form" and "Healthy Lifestyle Behavior Scale II (HYBDÖ-II)" were used as data collection tools in the research. SPSS statistical package program was used to analyze the data. The significance level was accepted as p<.0.05. According to the results of the research, it was determined that there was a significant difference between the students' school type, age, body weight variable and SYBD II scale total score averages (p < 0.05), while there was a significant difference between gender, place of residence, height, family income level, and parents' education level. It was observed that there was no difference (p>0.05). In the research group, it was observed that the mean scores of the SYBD II scale were higher for male students than female students, for students studying in secondary school than for students studying in high school, and for students living in the district center than students living in villages. While it was determined that there was a significant difference between the research group's weekly exercise status, sport type and regular exercise status variables and the SYBD scale (p<0.05), it was observed that there was no significant difference between undergraduate status (p>0.05). It was observed that the students who exercised regularly in the research group had higher SYBD scale mean scores than the students in other groups. It was determined that the students who did individual sports in the research group had higher SYBD scale score averages than the students in other groups. It was determined that in the research group, licensed students had higher SYBD scale score averages than unlicensed students. It was observed that as the weekly exercise duration of the students in the research group increased, their average SYBD scale scores also increased. In conclusion; It was observed that the healthy lifestyle behaviors of the students in the research group were at a moderate level, and the healthy lifestyle behaviors of the students studying in secondary school were at a better level than the students studying in high school.
