Determination of secondary school principals qualifications community leadership (Example Başakşehir)

Today, in consequence of some changes in the organizations, principals must fulfill their social responsibilities concerning the school environment as well as their usual responsibilities. This fact clearly suggests that they have to own social leadership features. The social leadership features of the teachers who work in Başakşehir district have been analyzed in this study. In this respect, the questionnaries have been aimed at the principals and teachers who have been working at the schools in Başakşehir district and the results of these questionnaries have been evaluated through SPSS 20 programme. The outcomes concerning the principals? competence of social leadership as a result of the questionnaire are concluded as: There is not a statiscally significant difference between the primary school principals? competence of social leadership in terms of both the teacher?s and the principals? gender, educational status, occupational precedence, order of precedence, marital status and age. But a significant difference has been observed statistically between the primary school principals? competence of social leadership in terms of the numbers of the students at the schools which the teachers have been working at. On the other hand, no significant difference has been observed statistically between the primary school principals? competence of social leadership in terms of the numbers of the students at the schools which the principals have been working at.
