Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to research the relationship between the attitudes and happiness levels of middle school students studying in the Şemdinli district of Hakkari province towards physical education and sports class. The research group consists of 406 middle school students. This study was based on quantitive research methods. As survey model, descriptive survey model was utilized. The data collection instruments used in this study were the Personal Information Form, Physical Education Class Happiness Level Scale, and Physical Education Class Attitude Scale for Middle School Students. The SPSS statistical program was used for the analysis of the collected data. T-test was used for two-group variables, One-Way ANOVA for variables with more than two groups, and Pearson Correlation analysis was utilized to determine the direction of the relationship between the scales. According to the findings, the happiness levels of students who engage in regular sports towards physical education and sports classes were statistically significant and higher compared to those who do not participate in sports. Furthermore, the attitudes and happiness levels of students living in the village towards physical education and sports classes are statistically significant and different compared to students living in the town. As a result, it has been revealed that students living in the village and engaging in regular sports are happier and the level of students attitudes are higher in physical education and sports classes.
