The effects of Ottoman miniature art on contemporary Turkish painting

What are the effects of Ottoman Miniature Art on Contemporary Turkish Painting? The aim of the research; Who are the miniature artists of the Ottoman period, how the their works (works of Ottoman miniature artists) are analyzed, who are the contemporary Turkish artists affected by the miniature art, what are the artworks determined to be influenced by the miniature art, what are the effects of the miniature art to the contemporary Turkish painting art. The main issue of this study is "What are the effects of Ottoman Miniature Art on Contemporary Turkish Painting?" Qualitative research method has been used. Qualitative data collection techniques such as observation, interview and document analysis have been used. The data has beeb analyyzed have been selected by descriptive analysis method. The artists and their works analyzed in the research were selected with purposive sampling method. The data has been written in the table and presented in the annexes section. In this study, miniature art and history of Ottoman period, its important representatives, its techniques and applications, descriptive analysis of selected works with purposive sampling have been presented. The artists and their works selected in contemporary Turkish painting are examined in relation to composition, order, perspective, form, color, rhythm. The data obtained has been interpreted in the results section. As a result of the research, although miniature art is seen as a narrative of art circles and lifestyles, it is seen that contemporary Turkish painting art is influenced by composition and color and expression principles. This effect is sometimes reflected in the wide range of examples that influence Western Art. In terms of color and perspective, figure, deformation, fiction, line, subject, light, abstract forms, the Turkish artists were influenced by the miniature art of the Ottoman period, and in line with this effect, the Turkish art, which was developing more than Turkish painting, benefited these effects before us, Apart from the classical perspective, it was influential on the emergence of contemporary current spaces away from the abstract perspective.
