Abstract (EN)

Increasing comfort demands in the automotive industry have led engineers to new searches; Studies such as cost reduction and weight reduction in vehicles have led to an increase in the use of composite materials in vehicles. Composite materials are used in vehicles because they stand out with their durability and visual appeal as well as their lightness; It has begun to be used extensively in areas such as exterior trim, carrier body, pillars and door panels. Within the scope of this study, flax fiber reinforced composite samples were produced by vacuum bagging method. After the necessary alignments of the produced samples were made, the plates were produced and cut in accordance with the dimensions determined by the ASTM 5868 standard, and their joints were also made in accordance with this norm. According to the test results; tensile strengths of the pop rivet and crush rivet methods, which are mechanical joining types, were calculated as 97.4 and 96.9 MPa. The tensile strength of the third joining method, the adhesive joining process, was calculated as 2.78 MPa.
