Abstract (EN)

Minimizing the vibration caused by roadwheels, which is one of the many vibration sources such as engine, track, sprocked, roadwheels acting on a tracked vehicle; the comfort and healt of the crew in the vehicle, the connections of electronic and mechanical parts; reduction of damage, failure rate or rapid fatigue; for combat military tracked vehicles, it is of great importance especially in terms of fire control and fire safety. However passive suspension systems, which are widely used today due to their simple structures, low failure rates and low costs, dont have the energy storage feature, and it is not possible to control the movement of roadwheels in these systems. For this reason, the material and design of the roadwheels in vehicles using the passive suspension system become even more important in terms of reducing the vibration on the vehicle due to the roadwheels. In addition, there may be a need for design and material changes in order to improve the systems due to many reasons such as cheaper cost, reduction in weight, and prolongation of life. As a result of the design and material changes to be applied, on-vehicle data should be collected and the design should be optimized by analysing these data. In this study, data collection was carried out using the data acqusition system and single and triaxial accelerometers, and these data were processed and the test results were evaluated at different speed and road parameters by using aluminum roadwheels, and steel roadwheels whose prototypes were produced by analysing in computer aided simulation programs, in order to compare the actual vibration data on the vehicle due to steel and aluminum roadwheels, other vibration sources affecting the vehicle were kept as constant as possible and on the vehicle at different speed and road parameters. With the study, the vibration amplitudes and characteristics of both roadwheels are very close to each other and they are used interchangeably. It was considered to be suitable in terms of equipment and other aspects.
