Abstract (EN)

In this study, especially used in production of long washbasins as big volume products in sanitaryware sector, add some scraps from fired vitreous china bodys for reduce the cost of production, fine fire clay recipes were investigated. In experimental studies, scrap products through the jaw crusher and grinding mill 300μ is brought to the same particle size, replace with same particle size of fine fire clay raw material which are used in fireclay recipes, the rheological behavior and the physical properties was observed. Prepared 13 recipes included reference recipe with add %1 to %30 of fired and grounded fired vitreous china scraps in to the fine fire clay body and dry shrinkage, fired shrinkage, total shrinkage, deformation, dry strength, % water absorption and thickness behavior in plaster molds (10 ', 20', 60 ' and 90') was evaluated. As a maximum rate % 13 of sanitaryware scrap has been determined and more than this mount came with inconvenient results has been confirmed. As a result of experimental studies that can be used instead of chamotte raw material, %13 of grounded sanitaryware scraps has been shown to benefit a cost reduction of 16%. Keywords: Cost, fired scrap, sanitaryware, chamotte.
