Abstract (EN)

With a thorough examination into the characteristics and varieties of plasma, antenna principles, RF parameters, and illustrative case studies emphasizing the effectiveness of plasma antenna systems, this thesis examines the use of plasma antennas in diverse applications. The thesis begins by explaining the basic characteristics of plasma and looking at its various forms and varieties, such as AC/DC coupled and Laser plasmas as well as capacitive and inductive plasmas. To highlight the benefits and difficulties of using plasma antennas in different circumstances, comparison studies between traditional metallic antennas and the latter are conducted. The thesis then describes different usage contexts where plasma antennas are helpful. Radar systems, communication systems, electronic warfare, and stealth technology are all included in the applications. To illustrate their functioning and superiority over traditional alternatives in demanding technological conditions, specific information on plasma antenna configurations, operating principles, and performance metrics are supplied for each application. The case studies highlight the advantages of using plasma antennas. These studies look at situations where plasma antennas outperform conventional antennas in terms of bandwidth, tunability, and adaptability, improving the strategic capabilities and situational awareness. The thesis supports the idea that plasma antennas have enormous potential for industrial applications and have several benefits over conventional antennas. For widespread adoption, however, issues including plasma creation, control, and integration with current systems must be resolved. Plasma antennas are a cutting-edge technology with tremendous potential, set to transform communication systems, improving the operational efficiency and effectiveness in the future.
