Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this thesis is to prepare and to examine brush type poyimide films grafted different polymer chains. Click reaction has been successfully used to fabricate this type brush polymers. Firstly the modification of the polyimide surface achieved by chloromethylation reaction by using trimethylchlorosilane and chloroform as a solvent. Than chloromethyl functional polymide surface was used to preparation of the azide functional polyimide. At the same time, clickable polymers, such as polystyrene, poly(methyl metacrylate), poly(vinyl prrolidone), poly(methyl acrylate) and the block copolymers of these polymers, were synthesized via ATRP technique for connection of the azide-functional polyimide surface and these clickable polymers attached to the surface of the polyimide film. Prepared polyimides and clickable polymers were structurally characterized by FTIR, GPC, AFM and SEM-EDX techniques. Other thermal properties such as, Tg, initial thermal decomposition temperature (ITD) and char yield, were also determinate by DSC, DTA and TGA measurements. Physical properties revealed that the type of clickable polymers attached onto brush type polyimides would influence the contact angle, surface topology, Tg and thermal stability. KEYWORDS: Kapton, click chemistry, brush polymer, controlled polymerization.
