Abstract (EN)

Conventional concrete does not show sufficient performance today. For this reason, the development of mixture design in accordance with the usage areas of concrete in concrete technology has been the leading research topic of recent times. Concrete is a brittle material with a porous structure. Micro cracks formed in the pores of the concrete turn into macro cracks under static or dynamic loads and the concrete shows sudden fracture behavior. In order to improve these disadvantages of concrete, 2nd phases should be added to the concrete mix design. One of the phases used in concrete mix design is fibers. Fibers used in concrete from past to present are steel, polypropylene, glass, basalt etc. can be listed as One of the fiber types used in cementitious composites is polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fibers. When PVA fiber cement composites were designed, successful results were achieved, but the difficulty of access and cost of the fibers created new research topics. In this study, pure PVA, DOT-PVA-AC, DOT-PVA, DOT-PVA-GO produced as an alternative to PVA fibers were added to the new generation cementitious composites at 2%, 3% and 4% and physical and mechanical have been tested.
