Abstract (EN)
Water is the most comon source of living organisims taht is found naturally on earth. The available amount of water sources that is important for living organisims are greatly diminished. In recent years, with the increasing the population, industrialization and urbanization, giving the watewater treatment without water supply, increasing consumption of water and using the containing fertilizer and pesticides in agriculture became important to examine the changes water quality. Water quality indexes are appeared with the monitoring of the water quality parameters. The most commonly used and most well known water quality index is National Sanitation Foundation Water Quality Index (NSFWQ). The water quality classification made in light of the obtained datas and solutions are developed fort he future based on the current situations. In this studty, the water samples are taken the selected stations where the source of Porsuk Dam Lake and Porsuk Stream until the join up the Sakarya River and temperature(surface and bottom temperature difference), pH, fecal koliform (Most Probable Number Method), dissolved oxygen, biochemical oxygen demand, total phosphate and total nitrate analsis are conducted. The water quality classes are determined according to NSFWQ (National Sanitation Foundation Water Quality Index). The trophic level of Porsuk Dam Lake are determined.
