Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to study the validity and reliability of the Turkish form of the Positive and Negative Rumination Scale (PANRS) developed by Yang et al. (2020). Rumination is repetitive thoughts about both positive and negative emotions and functions either positively or negatively regarding the psychological adjustment. PANRS, which aims to measure positive and negative rumination includes a positive rumination subscale consisting of 2 first-order factors (i.e., enjoy happiness and positive coping) and negative rumination consisting of 3 first-order factors (i.e., suppress happiness, self deny and negative attribution). The study group consists of 1016 Turkish high school students. 5 first level and 2-second order factor structure of the PANRS were confirmed by confirmatory factor analysis. Cronbach's alpha internal consistency reliability coefficients were found as sufficient. Findings have been shown that PANRS, which was developed to evaluate the positive and negative aspects of rumination, is a valid and reliable measurement tool for Turkish high school students.
