Abstract (EN)

One of the most important subjects is the shock resistance of the equipment in terms of survivability of the naval vessels. It is necessary to provide resistance against the shock loads both in terms of equipment and hardware and both global and local structure. Although structural resistance is not the subject of this study, one of the most effective ways to ensure that the equipment operates without losing its functionality under shock load is to use vibration shock absorbers (VSA) between the ship structure and the equipment. Due to placement restrictions, selection of the VSA is important for the arrangement of the equipment in the design phase. Also, without an equipment's VSA selection it is not possible to finalize the design of the foundation structure. Although it is possible to carry out these studies with the finite element analysis method, such analyses and reporting take a lot of time. Analytical methods are preferred because of both tight project schedules and high licence fees. With this study for the previously determined shock load, it is aimed to achieve VSA selection capability for equipment whose mass information and design acceleration limits are known. In this context, in order to the given information, the M mass matrix, the C damping matrix and the K stiffness matrix of a system composed of one equipment and VSAs' is generated and realized the solving, by means of MATLAB and Simulink software in this study. Under the applied shock load, it is obtained the graphs of mass-time, acceleration-time, displacement-time and the accelerations that affected the equipment's centre of gravity. In this way, VSA selection can be made what for the accelerations are reduced to the required level from the manufacturer catalogues.
