Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to determined dynamic characteristics of precast structures using Operational Modal Analysis (OMA) and updated initial finite element models. The presented thesis consists of mainly five chapters. In the first chapter, the information about precast structures, the studies performed on this subject, methods which are used to determine dynamic characteristics, formulations of these methods and model updating methods are mentioned. In the second chapter, the information selected precast structures which are C-1 overpass and Doğu Karadeniz Precast Production Facility and initial finite element models using SAP2000 software are presented. Then, the measurement details which carried out environmental vibration test on the precast structures and obtained dynamics characteristics are given. In the third chapter, Comparisons obtained with analytical and experimental results, related tables and the finite element model updating in terms of connection rigidities on the joints for each precast structures are presented. In the fourth chapter, the results of analytical and experimental studies and some suggestions are given. In the fifth chapter which is the last chapter, the references used in this thesis are presented. At the end of the study, it is emphasized that OMA method can be used safely to determine the dynamic characteristics and to update initial finite element models of precast structures.Key Words: Precast structures, Operational Modal Analysis, Finite Element model updating.
