Abstract (EN)

In an increasingly competitive environment, the harmonization of all stages is essential for the quality and speedy production of a product. Material preparation and production line feeding play a critical role in this process. However, in a market where customer needs change and diversify, businesses need to modernize and optimize their production systems to adapt to demands and develop new products. Lean production is considered as a method to reduce waste. This thesis is written in order to continuously improve these processes by addressing lean philosophy methods in this factory, which carries out project-based production in the machinery manufacturing sector. Produced products may sometimes need to be delivered earlier than the desired time. Therefore, it is important to establish a system that can react instantly and quickly. In line with this perspective, past idle capacities and inefficiencies in internal logistics systems were identified. Logistics routes have been created and efforts have been made to deliver materials to the desired location, only in the quantity needed, in the shortest possible way. This study aims to contribute to the literature by examining the application results of lean production techniques, which aim to increase productivity while reducing product costs, in a company and to determine strategies to improve these practices.
