Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out at the Akdeniz University Faculty of Science Department of Physics and was aimed to design of phantom which used for computed tomography devices. Two phantom kit that including formal and spatial differences according to standard phantom being used was designed and produced. Dose calculations were performed with phantoms, PMMA material made by the phantom circular and elliptic cylindrical geometry, by used the Elekta brand "X – ray Volume Imager" model cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) device in the volumetric imaging techniques. measurements were performed with ion chambers and thermoluminescent dosimeter (TLD) in imaging protocols that used routinely. Weighted computed tomography dose index (CTDIw) value determination was made by used computed tomography ion chamber in circular and elliptical cylinder phantom. In addition, dose measured with small volume ion chamber in phantoms and dose profile were drawn with TLD system. The effect of length and geometry of the phantom on the resulting dose values were questioned. As a resultf of study, altrenative phantom is recommended for more accurately dose assesment. This phantom can be used for computed tomography scan and imaging procedure of radiotheraphy.
