Animal elements in Refik Halid Karay's literary works

On occasion, people have become friends with animals, and they have also profited from animals in numerous professions to make life easier. The importance of animals in our liveshas led this circumstance to be expressed through art. Animal figures can be found in wall paintings, sculptures, and everyday items discovered during archaeological excavations. Animal motifs abound throughout epics, folklore, and fairy tales. As we get closer to today, we can notice that animals appear in the works of all literary periods. In literary works, animals are utilized as a symbol of various themes, such as a comrade who fights beside his owner during a battle, a powerful being who must be defeated in order to prove one's valor, and messenger, docile, hardworking, resolute, leader, sneaky, evil. Animals frequently appear in the works of Refik Halid Karay, who created several literary Works over his life. The author, who also cared for various animals, employed various animal names in his Works and used animals to represent abstract notions. We can see that the author employs animals as a part of daily life as amount or as a creature whose meat is used, as well as we canobserve that the author employs animals to correspond to the abstract themes such as courage, strength, malevolence, sluggishness, cuteness, attractiveness, and agility throughout his work.
