Abstract (EN)

The historical novel is a genre that entered into Turkish literature along with the Tanzimat (Reorganization) Reform Era and advanced essentially during the Cumhuriyet (Republic) Period. Historical novels have been welcomed with interest since their entry into Turkish literature. The authors responded to the interest of readers and produced many Works in genre of historical novels. The produced works are generally the ones with thesis in accordance with the nature of the historical novels. The situation brought many discussion about the historical novel and caused many problems related to the genre. Reha çamuroğlu, who entered to writing life as a historian, also has come to the fore with the historical novels since 1999. It's seen obviosuly that he reflected the themes that are the subjects of the research –review boks in his novels. Beginnig from his first novel, İsmail, seven of eight novels that he wrote are historical genre. In this study, the historical novels of Reha Çamuroğlu have been reviewed in the categories of 'fiction, time, place narrator perspective and characters' in accordance with the methods of novel review, and other disciplines were used as it's needed. Thus, in the context of historical novel, Reha Çamuroğlu has been tried to be positioned within the history of Turkish literature.
