Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the mediating effect of positive psychological capital in predicting the impact of guidance counselors' perceptions of self-efficacy and levels of closeness in relationships on their job satisfaction. In addition, it is aimed to examine the relationships between the job satisfaction of guidance counselors, their closeness in relationships, their self efficacy perceptions, their positive psychological capital and some variables. In the research, "relational screening" method was used to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and closeness in relationships, positive psychological capital and job satisfaction of guidance counselors working in institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. In the study, which was designed as a quantitative research, a questionnaire form consisting of "Job Satisfaction Scale", "Positive Psychological Capital Scale", "School Counselor Self-Efficacy Scale", " Closeness in Relationships Scale" and "Personal Information Form" was applied to the participants. In this process, 410 people were reached and analyzes continued with 385 data. Within the scope of this study, a model that predicts the mediating role of positive psychological capital in the effect of self-efficacy perceptions of guidance counselors and their closeness in relationships on their professional satisfaction has been proposed. Within the scope of the study, the model mediation effect was examined by following the Bootstrap method and Baron and Kenny's mediation proposition method. As a result of the research, the hypothesis "The level of closeness in the relationships of the guidance counselors and the perceptions of psychological counseling competence predict job satisfaction with the mediation effect of positive psychological capital" was confirmed, since the model fit values. The findings were discussed according to the literature and suggestions were made for future researchers.
