Abstract (EN)
This thesis study investigates the important loss mechanisms in a newly proposed GaNxAs0.8P0.2-x/GaP type I QW laser system on a silicon substrate. Our calculations indicate that direct CHSH Auger loss mechanism is the most important loss mechanism in the QW laser system under investigation.
