Abstract (EN)

Finite Element Analysis of Rotor Systems Because of having complex configurations, it is hard to predict the dynamic behaviors of the rotors analytically. Thus, using powerful approach methods such as finite element is developed for analyzing the system. Finite Element Method enables both time saving and economy for solving the equations by enabling reduction in the system equations. In this study, the dynamic behaviors of some rotor systems were solved by the finite element method. In the first chapter, some literature studies in the field of rotordynamics, the kind of rotor types and computational techniques were summarized. In addition, the elements of rotor systems were discussed, their set of equations were written and the solution of the system equations was explained. In the second chapter, the application procedure was given for two different softwares used and four different types of rotor problems in consideration were explained. In the third chapter, the solution of the problems was done, and the natural frequencies and the mode shapes were given. It was seen that the results obtained from both softwares were very close. Key Words: Rotor Systems, Rotordynamics, Finite Element Method, Modal Analysis
