Turkish words in Russian language and its effect on Turkish teaching

The aim of this research is to identify Turkish words in Contemporary Russian and to reveal the usage areas, usage rates of these words.The research was designed according to the case study pattern, which is one of the qualitative research methods.The Turkish words used in the Russian language in the research were determined by taking the National Russian Corpus and Shipova dictionary as criteria. Document analysis method was used to analyze the obtained data. As a result of the research, 129 words used in the Contemporary Turkish language were determined.It has been observed that Turkish words are most frequently used in newspaper language, followed by poetry, spoken language, social media, and finally in translated texts.In addition, Turkish words in Contemporary Russian have been classified according to their conceptual fields.Thus, it will be ensured that these words are used in vocabulary teaching in Turkish teaching, classified according to their usage areas, and included in the course materials where necessary.
