Abstract (EN)

Forest assets from renewable energy sources, it has a significant impact on the world ecology. Forest assests are comprised of undergroud and aboveground biomass. there is no more work done about whether interactions between aboveground biomass and the various ecological features in the world and in Turkey. Therefore, research topic selected from this area. The purpose of this study is to be compared aboveground biomass with ecological features in pure beech (Fagus orientalis Lipsky.) stands which is an essential element of our country forest and to be reveal the correlation between them. The research was carried out in Turkey Sinop Türkeli Forest Management Directorate borders. As part of this research, it has examined whether there is a correlation between physiographic, climatic, edaphic factors and aboveground biomass in area of study. The data for this study were collected by field and laboratory studies and the raw data obtained from this studies were analyzed using statistical software (SPSS 21.). it has preferred regression and correlation analysis methods for determining whether a correlation between the ecological characteristics and obev grround biomass. As a result, it is determined that there is a positeve correlation between aboveground biomass and elevation, slope, AWC, diameter, AE, rainfall. in addition, it is determined that there is a negative correlation between aboveground biomass and maximum-minimum temperatures, latitude, longitude value.
