Abstract (EN)

The geography of Iran is a vast geography that has hosted different civilizations since ancient times. The geography of Eastern Iran is of great importance due to the fact that the Far East and Central Asia are dec transition zone between Central Asia and the Front. Because of this, the geography of Eastern Iran and important cities on this geography have been heavily invaded, especially by Turkish communities. A great state has emerged on the geography of Iran, which changed the course of history in the 3rd century. Spreading over a wide geography from the Euphrates River to the Indus River, the most important neighbors of this state on the eastern borders have been Turkish communities. from the second quarter of the 3rd century Dec the second quarter of the 7th century, there were intense political, economic and social relations between Iran and the Turkish communities of the Sassanid period. The Sassanids, who dominated the geography of Iran, had Turkish communities such as the Kushan, Akhun, Göktürk states of Turkish origin on their eastern borders, as well as Hyons, Kidaras, Çullars, Sakalar on their eastern borders. The Akhuns and Gokturks of these Turkic states waged centuries-long wars with the Sassanids in order to establish sovereignty over the territory of Eastern Iran. While the Sassanids were trying to spread towards Central Asia and India, the Turkish communities also wanted to spread their sovereignty to the west by settling in the east of Central Asia. During these struggles, the boundaries dec both sides were constantly changing. This study aimed to decipher these boundaries, which are constantly changing during the struggles that took place between both sides during the specified period.
