Abstract (EN)
Composite materials are kind of materials that are formed by mixing together at least two or more single type of materials. This type of materials can be separated into two branches as matrix and support elements. Matrix type acts as connective material while support elements provide resistance on the material. It is not that easy to simulate composite materials on the computer platform and also the same to determine the mechanical and chemical specifications of them as they are more complex structure comparing with other material. In this study, ballistic properties of some composite materials which are used in the defense industry have been examined with an experimental perspective. In the first step, polyethylene and aramyde fabrics have been combined in different specifications. Ballistic composite materials have been tested in various shooting velocity. The experiments are performed with NIJ-0101.04 and STANAG 2920 standards under laboratory conditions. After all, the higher the number layer V50 in composite materials generally is seen to increase velocity. Additionally, composite materials made on the creation of conditioning has not a negative effect on ballistic performance
