Abstract (EN)

Our thesis presents the life of Salama Moussa who lived between 1887-1958 is Egyptian Coptic writer and philosopher and his work called ''Modern Rhetoric and the Arabic Language'' Work consists preface and two parts. We cleared the political and cultural procession of the years of the writer in the preface. In the first part we mentioned the life and ideas and science and ideas of the writer and his position in this world. In the second part we checked the sciences connected with the works called ''Modern Rhetoric and the Arabic Language'' through the prestige of running history we tried to find the methods used while preparing, analyzing the context of the work. We tried to find out the place of the work in this field as the book of sociology of language. We did this study by the aim of analyzing and revealing the various subjects dealt with. Our aim is to offer everyone's benefit by evaluating mentioned work as lots of valuable studies done in the 19th century. Key Words: Salama Moussa, Language, Rhetoric, Modern, History
