Abstract (EN)
In this study, the production of particle reinforced Ceramic-Metal composites and assesment of their mechanical proporties have been aimed. Specimens were perepared by both conventional and electroless Ni coating method. WC and SiC were chosen as reinforcement components and metal powders of Ni, Fe and Al were also chosen as matrix of MMC.In experimental part of the study WC-Ni, WC-Al-Ni, WC-Fe-Ni, and SiC-Fe-Ni compositons were selected. As a source of study. The compositions were prepared in conventional furnace and also in microwave furnace. Compounds such as WC+Ni, WC+Ni3Al, WC+FeNi, SiC+FeNi were obtained following the treatment in the furnace in convetinal furnace, temperatures of 800-900-1000-1100-1200oC were used and microwave funace 500-600-700-800-900oC temperature range was used for sintering of powders. Following the sintering composites were characterized using SEM-EDX, XRD comprehension test, hardness test on specimens. In addittion, the density and electrical resistance measurements of the composites produced were also carried out. The advantages and disadvantages between convetional sintering and MW sintering have been discussed in details.
