Abstract (EN)

In this study, first of all wind tunnel types are explained which are preferred in aerospace applications in order to measure the effects of air on fixed objects exposed to air flow or in air moving objects. Then a subsonic open-circuit wind tunnel has been designed, manufactured and opened for use at Engineering Laboratory of Bilecik Seyh Edebali University. In the design phase, numerical analyses were carried out in order to get the best efficiency from this tunnel, which was produced with a low budget, and optimum values were obtained for the dimensions of the test area, collector and diffuser geometries. In the section of numerical analysis, also, pressure and velocity contours of different expansion angles of the diffuser geometry has been analysed. In the section of experimental studies, it has been examined that whether the wind tunnel that has been installed have intended flow characteristics.
