Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, it was aimed at translating the Journal of Fatwas of the XVI th century Ottoman Sheikh al-Islam Sa'di Çelebi into modern Turkish, and explaining the method he followed in giving Fatwas, his mostly used sources, and the most common problems of that era. This research was composed of an introduction and three chapters. In the introduction, it was explained what the research is about, the reason for writing and methods of the research. In the first chapter, it was shortly introduced the life and works of Sa'di Çelebi. In the second chapter, the fatwas of Sa'di Çelebi were classified according to the classical fiqh (islamic law) chapters and the Ottoman Turkish parts were made understandable in modern Turkish. The Fatwas in Arabic were translated into Turkish and expounded on them. In addition to analysis of all Fatwas, they were corresponded to the classical main source of Hanafi School. In the last chapter, all the fatwas of Sa'di Çelebi were written in the Latin Alphabet by providing their authentic translation and made available for today's human being.
