Abstract (EN)
Climate change has become a critical global problem and requires significant efforts to understand its causes and mitigate its effects. Raising awareness of climate change is important in reducing this problem. The civil aviation sector plays an important role in the spread of greenhouse gas emissions, which have negative effects on climate change. In this study, the differentiation of climate change awareness of civil aviation sector employees according to marital status, age, gender, education level, occupation and income level was investigated. The study aims to reveal the levels of climate change awareness in the civil aviation sector with various variables, and to create knowledge and experience about public awareness in the literature and in the aviation sector. Quantitative method was used in the study. Survey data collection tool was used to collect the data. The study begins by defining the causes and effects of climate change, climate change awareness, its historical background, policies to raise awareness, and general information about climate change. Then, the impact of the civil aviation sector on climate change, including the measures taken by international civil aviation organizations to mitigate the effects of climate change, is examined. The purpose, importance, problem, methodology, analysis and findings of the study were discussed. Finally, general information, conclusions and recommendations based on the data obtained are presented in the study.
