The role and impact of non-governmental organizations in local politics: A filed research in the case of Batman province (2019-2024)

Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Turkey have a critical role in the development of democracy and increasing social participation. However, in recent years, especially at the local level, the relations of NGOs with political parties and their roles in election processes have been the subject of debate. This study aims to examine the role of NGOs in local politics, their effects and their relations with political parties in Batman province, and also examines the role of non-governmental organizations in local elections in Batman province and analyzes the relations of these organizations with political parties. It aims to evaluate their situation and their cooperation with political parties.
