Abstract (EN)

The duality of political philosophy and history has been seen as irreconcilable concepts throughout the history of philosophy. According to Strauss, this situation lasted until modernity. The notion of " which has risen with modernity, has beco me one of the dominant elements that destroy the possibility of political philosophy. Historicism, to the extent that it rejects political philosophy and natural right as the possibility of political philosophy, has been condemned by Leo Strauss. Strauss c laimed that a counterhistorical political philosophy could not exist in modernity and that the solution was to return to classical political philosophy, as modernity necessarily tends to collapse. In this study, the antecedents of Strauss and other moderni ty critics and the results of these predecessors will be criticized through Luc Ferry and Alain Renault's defense of modernity and the values created by modernity. In addition, the possibility of a counterhistorical political philosophy that may arise fr om this defense of the values of modernity will also be questioned and the argument that the republican thought is the exact equivalent of this opportunity will be defended.
