Abstract (EN)

The Middle East has been the center of attraction of the world due to its geopolitical and geostrategic importance in all periods of history. This has led to wars and struggles of sovereignty in the region throughout history. For Jews, the reasons for this situation are based on religious foundations, but later began to take a political form under the influence of Zionism. With the movement of nationalism, minorities who completed the nationalization process began to gain their independence by rebelling against the Ottoman Empire, while ottoman Jews, Armenian and Greek societies, were not involved in the uprising against the state. However, Zionism, which emerged as a result of antisemitism and nationalism, later supported Western countries and initiated the process leading to the founding of Israel. Jews formed part of the national state during the Period of the Republic of Turkey and lived on the basis of citizenship. Turkey-Israel relations have taken an important role in Turkish foreign policy and have followed a bumpy course since 1948, when Israel was involved in world politics. In the process of recognizing Israel as a state, the Turkish Government has led to careful policy monitoring, taking into account the deep-rooted historical histories of Turks and Jews, the structure of Turkish society, the future of Palestine and Arab countries. With the start of the 1967 Arab-Israeli War, Turkey has been in favor of Arab countries in the face of developments in the Middle East. While this war constitutes a turning point Turkey-Israel relations Turkey, both during the war and after the war, has shown in a concrete way with its support for these countries, as it strives to get closer to Arab states.
