An investigation of primary teacher's science process skills in terms of some variables

Elementary teachers are located at the starting point of his life to education, have an important place in bringing a lot of information into a behavior. Students were affected every field who together for years nearly by elementary teachers. When the teachers are researchers, inquisitive, curious, this situation, the students will be like theirs teachers. For this reason, teachers should give importance to the scientific process skills and they should activities contain the scientific process skills . The purpose of this study is to classroom teachers, scientific process skills in bazı variables (gender, seniority, age, place of duty, taught class) to examine the terms. The universe of the study is composed of primary teachers working in primary schools attached to the center of Afyon. The sample of the study is consisted of 130 primary teachers in Afyon. The study data were obtained from science process skills test arranged by Aydoğdu (2006). Data obtained was entered to SPSS 15.0 and a data set of the study was generated. The results of the study show that science progress skill scores of elementary teachers significantly differed by gender, working place, seniority, taught at class.
