Abstract (EN)
Migration is an important social, economic, and political phenomenon both globally and in Türkiye, creating various economic and social effects. Historically, Türkiye has been both a country of origin and a country of destination for migration. In recent years, particularly after the Syrian civil war, large-scale migration movements have forced Türkiye to reshape its migration policies. In this context, the aim of this thesis is to examine the socio-economic dimensions of migration in Türkiye and evaluate the country's migration management and policies in this regard. This thesis, prepared using a qualitative research method, analyzes the economic, social, spatial, and security dimensions of migration within the context of Türkiye's historical and current migration policies. The study, which compares the current effects of migration in terms of economic, socio-cultural, spatial, and security aspects, is expected to contribute to the literature by proposing concrete policies on migration management and migration policy. Keywords: Migration, Migration Management, Migration Policy, Socio- economic Impacts.
