Investigation of the effect of sports organization employees' organizational communication perceptions on organizational creativity levels and work performance

Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to examine the effect of organisational communication perceptions of sport institution employees on their organisational creativity levels and job performances. In the research, descriptive and relational screening model was used among quantitative research methods. Purposive and convenience sampling method was preferred as sampling technique. The study group consisted of a total of 400 people, 193 women and 207 men, who voluntarily accepted to participate in the study among the employees of the Provincial Directorates of Youth and Sports in the provinces located in the Aegean Region. Personal information form, "Organisational Communication Scale", "Organisational Creativity Scale" and "Job Performance Scale" were used as data collection tools. According to the findings of the research, there was a significant difference between the participants' organisational communication scale, job performance scale and organisational creativity scale total score and individual, managerial and social sub-dimensions in terms of gender variable, while there was no significant difference in the sub-dimensions of organisational communication and job performance scale. According to the variables of marital status, educational status and title in the institution, no significant difference was found between the total score of organisational communication, job performance and organisational creativity scale and individual, managerial and social sub-dimensions. It was concluded that there were various relationships between organisational communication, job performance and organisational creativity and their sub-dimensions in terms of age, working time in the institution and income status variables. In the results of the analyses between organisational communication, job performance and organisational creativity and their sub-dimensions, it was determined that there were various relationships. As a result, it was determined that the organisational communication perceptions of the employees in sport institutions positively and significantly affect their organisational creativity levels and job performance. It has been revealed that this situation is a positive indicator in terms of corporate sustainability. Key words: Organisational communication, organisational creativity, job performance.
