Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to evaluate the perspectives of the students studying in the sports management department on the problems in sports management. The case study design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. In order to determine the people participating in the research, 22 senior sports management students were included in the research by using the criterion sampling technique, which is one of the purposeful sampling methods. The criterion in the research was determined as the fact that the students took the sports management courses and studied in the last year. A semi-structured interview form was used to collect data in the research. The interviews took place over a period of approximately four weeks. Thematic coding method was used in the analysis of the data, and the students' opinions were evaluated under different codes under the theme of problems in sports management. As a result, the problems in sports management have been evaluated from various perspectives. Accordingly, the problems in sports management, incompetence, the order of importance of the branch, the biased and correct news coverage of the media, the lack of incentives for sports, the lack of sports centers, the lack of investment in different branches, the decrease in physical education lesson hours, the lack of participation in sports at early ages, the correct orientation of the athletes, the higher education Inadequate participation in sports can be evaluated as financial problems, foreign athlete problem and insufficient assignment.
