Abstract (EN)
Within the tradition of Classical Turkish Literature, thousands of works have been added to our literature through translation works in the 19th century. At this point, Yıldız Palace Library has a special importance. Most of these works, which were brought to our literature with the encouragement of Abdülhamid II, belong to intellectuals such as Geylanî and Gazzalî, who have dozens of works that deal with scientific, religious and mystical issues in the most profound way. The work that is the subject of our study is the translation of Geylanî's "Gunyeti't-Tâlibîn" by Süleyman Hasbî. In this study, the section titled "Kitâb-ı Adâbü'l Mürîdîn" in the last part of the second volume of Umdetü's-Sâlihîn fî Tercemeti Gunyeti't-Tâlibîn by Süleyman Hasbî Efendi, who lived in the 19th century and brought many works to our literature through translation, is analyzed. This part of the work is composed of 32 pages with 33 lines on each page. In this prose work, the "manners of the disciples", which has become a separate field in our tradition, is treated in a didactic style. How a disciple should behave in every aspect of his life, in every situation that he is likely to encounter, is covered in depth in the work. The main sources of the work can be expressed as the Holy Qur'an, hadith and the words of Sufi greats respectively. Keywords: Süleyman Hasbî, Geylanî, Sufism, Manners of Disciples, 19th century.
