Abstract (EN)
This study aims to explain the expropriation procedures used in the construction of railway lines during the centralization processes of the Ottoman Empire, the processes followed in the realization of expropriations, and the relevant legislation. Despite the various pillars of the centralization policy of the reign of Sultan Abdulhamid II, this study focuses solely on the expropriation processes carried out during the construction of the railways.
