Abstract (EN)

After Yozgat entered the Ottoman rule, it was first connected to Sivas. Sancak was formed from two counties, Bozok and Akdağ. The process of change of the Ottoman Empire gained momentum during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamit II, starting from the Tanzimat. Yozgat, which increased in importance during the Ottoman period, became an important center in administrative, educational, social and economic fields. During the reign of Sultan Abdülhamit II, inspectors were sent to the region for inspection and employment was tried to be provided. During the reign of Sultan Abdülhamit II (1876-1909), the structure of the city was tried to be preserved and new buildings were built. In this study, the administrative, social-cultural and economic situation of the Yozgat Sanjak between 1876-1909 was discussed. The policies implemented by Sultan Abdülhamit II for the region were tried to be explained.
