International power struggle in Syria crisis: Proxy wars

Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to analyzing in the context of proxy wars that changing shape of the power struggles between involved states in Syria which was dragged a civil war by the social movements called Arap Spring in the Middle East. This study is based on the assumption that the hard power used by the states in foreign policy is confined by various reasons, therefore, states have turned out to be more dependent to non-state actors who facilitating to reach their interest and becoming more active nowadays. In line with this argument, it was mentioned the issue of change in the battles and as a new foreign policy instrument that the concept of proxy war in the Syrian crisis. In this contex it has been analyzed the concept of proxy war in international relations in the first chapter of study, and in the second part, conflicts of interest of the international forces in the Syrian crisis are illustrated in the context of proxy wars.
