Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this thesis is to explain the history, characteristics and phases of the surrealism movement, which aims to achieve the final achievement of creative and free thought, and to examine the "Üvercinka" poem of Cemal Süreya, who wrote influential poems in the axis of surrealism, in terms of semiotics. This thesis reveals the unlimited freedom that Breton and the surrealist manifesto created by ignoring the rules and patterns, in the field of poetry. Examining the reflection of Cemal Süreya's imaginary and free point of view on his poem "Üvercinka" reveals the main purpose. In this thesis, "Üvercinka" of Cemal Süreya, who adapts most of the rules of surrealism to his poems, will be analyzed with the methods of semiotics and based on Roland Barthes' views.
